This is a photo of ‘Mangla Dam’. Isn’t is marvelous? The design, the detailing, it is all too…what is that word…breathtaking! Yes, that’s it! It is quite breathtaking! Isn’t it?

When I first saw it, I was stunned. Gazing at all of this in awe, taking it all in. It is a beautiful place, no doubt.

The ‘Mangla Dam’ is said to be one of the largest earth-fill lake in the world. ‘Mangla Dam’ and the surrounding areas present a beautiful landscape to visitors. One should visit this place, at least once.

Boating facility is also available at the lake. We took the big boat, the one with the limit of 10 people. The ride was amazing. Though I wish, we could have gone faster. 😉 Faster is always better on rides like these. 🙂

If you get a chance, do visit this beautiful place, take photos and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Harappa Excavations, Ruins and Remains

I had an exciting chance to go on a family trip to Harappa. I think, it has almost been a year. It was both fun and educational. Though, I don’t remember much of the ‘educational part’ ;). Mostly, because I was concentrating on capturing moments and snapping pictures of the place that I was hardly able to focus on the guide’s words. Sorry!

Although, all that information was pretty interesting, I just don’t remember the details that clearly. But I do remember one thing, I had a memorable time with my family (that included my mother & brother, my two tai ammas, my cousins and my three darling little nieces).

Here are several photos of the area.

(Ref. to the picture above) I wanted to have our picture taken here, and we decided, we will, but on our way back. Sadly, on our way back, the spot was taken.

This place might look like a barren place, it was kind of. But the trip was not barren at all. It was an exciting experience. I just love family trips. Don’t you?

Destination does not matter. As long as one is with their loved ones, and living the moment, what they got to complain?

Title:

Sweet Bread Rolls

Category:

Dessert

Filling:

Diced strawberry mixed with a little bit of chocolate syrup.

Ingredients:

4 Fresh white bread slices, crusts removed.

A bunch of strawberries, diced into small pieces.

Chocolate syrup

1 Egg (for dipping the rolls in before frying)

Method:

  1. First use a rolling pin to roll the slices flat. (this helps them in rolling and keeping it that way)
  2. Sprinkle some chocolate or syrup, or if you like, layer the slice with a thin layer of chocolate syrup.
  3. Then sprinkle the strawberry pieces on one side. (the side from where you are going to roll)
  4. Now start rolling.
  5. Once all of them are rolled, roll them in the egg, turn by turn.
  6. Then place in the oil for frying. (not too deep)
  7. Cook as long as both sides turn light brown.
  8. Take them out. Let them cool down. (decorate as you like)
  9. Then refrigerate for 1-2 hour.
  10. Better taste when they cold.

Enjoy!!!
